What the client needed
The Public Learning Workshop approached me looking for an illustrator and designer to create a poster for their educational campaign. Their project focused on making topics such as recycling and planting accessible to young people by displaying engaging and informative posters next to schools. They required an artist with a background in graphic design and data visualisation for young people.
The poster was printed and displayed along the East Coast of Scotland in August 2022.
Working closely with Moira and George and Keith from Herbal Medicine we developed a calendar-based design which would make sowing and soil health information easily accessible for young people. I created a number of different design ideas for the client to review and then settled on the garden journey design. Due to the sowing theme, the primary colour of the poster is brown which brightly shows off the colours of green plants.
